Along with the world's industrialization process,the deterioration of the global environment and energy shortages become so serious.So people pay more and more attention to exploit high efficiency,low energy consumption,wide application and environment-friendly sewage disposal technology.It is found that the semiconductor photo catalysis technology is an effective way to control environmental pollution and utilize solar energy.The reaction conditions are mild and the operation is simple.Because nano TiO2 has a good photocatalytic effect and it's property of low price,safe and stabilize,so it's the most commonly used semiconductor photocatalytic material.However,there are still some problems of TiO2 photocatalytic technology,such as low quantum efficiency and low utilization efficiency.In order to solve these problems,the TiO2 photocatalyst should be modified.Because of their special electronic structure,rare earth ions are often used as a modification method.In this paper,we used the porous glass beads as carrier and deposited nano Ce-TiO2 particles on it successfully by ion exchange method.The structures of Ce doped-TiO2 coatings were characterized by XRD,SEM and other Analysis method.The results show that Ce-TiO2 catalyst has a larger specific surface area and smaller particle size,about 4.8 nm.The band gap of TiO2 can be significantly reduced and the absorption of visible light is increased after doping cerium.Besides,it can effectively prevent the hole electron combination and enhanced photocatalytic performance.We selected representative methyl orange and Rhodamine B solution as the target,and investigated the catalytic degradation effect of Ce-TiO2 catalyst on these two dyes.It is found that when the atomic weight of the doped cerium element is equal to the atomic weight,the catalyst has a good photo catalyst effect.In addition,the amount of Ce-TiO2,reaction time and pH value of solution all have effects on the photocatalytic reaction.The results showed that the degradation efficiency increased with the increase of the amount of catalyst and the time,and then the degradation efficiency was stable or decreased to a certain value.The best pH values for MO and Rh B are different.For MO solution in acidic?pH=2?3?conditions achieve the best degradation efficiency and for Rh B in subacidity?pH=5?6?conditions has the best result.
