In this study, the plankton community was investigated during three consecutive seasons in the Xiao Qinghe River in order to access the water quality.Species composition was analyzed, and were used to Pielou,Shannon-Wiener and Margalef index analysis to evaluate water quality. The method of Box line chart and Pearson correlation analysis were employed to select the evaluation index and standard that fit to the biotic integrity of phytoplankton(P-IBI)or zooplankton(Z-IBI).And then P-IBI and Z-IBI were used to evaluate health of the surveyed river. The main results are as follows:1.In total, the phytopplankton species belonging to 7 phyla and 54 genera were found in the samples.Among them,4 genera of Euglenophyta,3 genera of Dinophyceae,1 genus of Chlorophyta,1 genus of Chlorella,18 genera of Chlorophyta(33% of total),14 genera of Bacillariophyta(26% of total)and 13 genera of Cyanophyta(24% of total). The results showed that phytoplankton species richness, heterogeneity and predominant species were the most abundant, and the majority of phytoplankton species were in the ?-contaminant zone. The phytoplankton species richness, phytoplankton,A small number of sampling points in light pollution or pollution-free state.Meanwhile, eighteen zooplankton species were obtained in total, most species are Rotifer(50% of total species),Cladocera is the second zooplankton group(33% of total species),and the Copepods were the least. The Shannon-Wiener index,Margalef index and Pielou index of the phytoplankton were analyzed, and the Shannon-Wiener diversity index was between 1-2.The Margalef richness index was about 3 and the Pielou evenness index More than 0.5,and phytoplankton survey results the same, most of the sampling point in the state of pollution,a small number of sampling points in light pollution or pollution-free state.2.The P-IBI index system of the Xiao Qinghe River was determined by the number of phytoplankton species,Margalef diversity index, percent of diatom taxa, percentage of cyanobacteria, percentage of cyanobacteria + green algae density and diatom density Percentage of biological parameters. The results showed that the samples were evaluated as "healthy" in the dry season sampling sites of MuLi Zhuang,Xinfengzhuang,Tangkou,Xizha,Wangdazha,Xinglin reservoirs and Lianqigou. The other sampling sites were evaluated as sub-healthy;The other sampling sites were evaluated as healthy. In the flat water sampling period, the sampling points of Li Cun and Wang Dao Gate were evaluated as poor, and the Xiahou Bridge was evaluated as the sub-health.Evaluation for the general, the remaining sample points for the evaluation of health or sub-health.3.The Z-IBI index system is composed of zooplankton uniformity index,Shannon-Wiener index,Margalef diversity index, rotifer density percentage, cladocerans, copepod species, cladocerans, copepods / zooplankton density. The results showed that the evaluation points of Xiahou Bridge and Liansigou in the low water period were sub-health,Yufu River was evaluated as normal and the other sampling sites were evaluated as healthy. In the wet period,Muli-Lishi and Shunhe were evaluated as healthy,There are Xinfengzhuang,Tangkouqiao,Wangduzha and Xinglin reservoirs for the sub-health sampling points. The general sampling points are Xizha,Fancun,Xiahou and Lianqiang. The poor sampling points are Yufu River. The water quality of Xinfengzhuang and Tangkou bridges was evaluated as sub-healthy,and the sampling sites of West Gate,Xiahou Bridge and Yufuhe River were evaluated as normal. The water quality of Simingli Gate,Shunhe Shipping,Xinglin Reservoir,,Sampling point Fan Li Cun,Wang Daozha water quality evaluation is poorComprehensive analysis found that the Xiaoqing River Basin water quality in general to the sub-health transition.
