The rare earth doped up-conversion nanocrystalline materials have attracted much attention and applied to laser, solar cell, display, security and sensing, due to their narrow emission, strong absorption capability, high luminescence efficiency, wide emission wavelength range, long photo-luminescence lifetime.NaYF4 is one of the most efficient matrix materials. In this paper, three different nanocrystalline materials which are Er3+ doped NaYF4, Yb3+ doped NaYF4 and Er3+/Yb3+co-doped NaYF4 are prepared by hydrothermal method, and their structures are the same. With them as the experimental subjects, we carry out the following research.First, We analysis the crystalline phase and structure of the three different nanocrystalline materials and calculate the the lattice parameters. Besides that, we also calculate the particle size by Scherrer's equation. Then, We get the up-conversion fluorescence spectrum of the three different nanocrystalline materials with different doping concentration through the fluorescence test system, and study the effects of different nanocrystalline materials with different rare earth concentration on up-conversion fluorescence. Using the fluorescence spectrum, power relationship and fluoescence lifetime analysis the up-conversion mechanism of the three different nanocrystalline materials. We study the temperature sensing of Er3+ doped NaYF4 and Er3+/Yb3+ co-doped NaYF4 and the power sensing of Yb3+ doped NaYF4 through fluorescence intensity ratio(FIR). And we also study the effects of doping concentration on measurement effect.
