Jade as one of the treasure of Chinese culture,has penetrated all aspects of our life.At present,jade grinding mainly rely on manual processing.It has some shortcomings such as low efficiency,long time consumption,and low production volume.It has so large numbers of jade powder when grinding the jade,that caused the processing environment extremely poor,and harm to the workman's healthy after long times work.The ultrasonic machining technology has many advantages like high machining efficiency,high machining precision,high quality of workpiece surface after grinding,wide adaption range,strong applicability to the hard-to-cut materials.It is widely used in ceramics,jade,glass and other brittle materials.It can effectively avoid some of the negative factors produced by hand grinding jade,and also can solve some shortcomings includes time-consuming,laborious,cost and high cost etc..It is adapt the rotary ultrasonic machining technology and traditional grinding technology in this paper to improve the grinding efficiency.It is a device of based on industrial robot of ultrasonic vibration assisted grinding which improved the former equipment according to the requirement.It can be achieved high efficiency,high quality and high automation to polishing jade.It choose the inverter and the motor in processing device of the transmission system to achieve the speed we need when we machining the jade.And it choose the frequency and power of the he ultrasonic vibration system.it choose Aluminum Alloy to make ultrasonic vibration system.It use finite element analysis of the ultrasonic horn with ANSYS15.0 workbench to select the appropriate vibration frequency and amplitude.It build the ultrasonic vibration assisted grinding jade surface processing model to analysis the principle of ultrasonic vibration assisted grinding mechanism and the trajectory equation of the single abrasive grain.It use simulation the trajectory of the single abrasive grain with the MATLAB software to analyze factors which influence the trajectory of the single abrasive grain such as main shaft speed,workpiece speed,ultrasonic amplitude,ultrasonic frequency size,grinding head diameter and so on.It find main factors which influence the trajectory of the single abrasive grain on the ultrasonic vibration assisted grinding conditions.It analyze the force in ultrasonic machining grinding,the results show that the ultrasonic assisted grinding can reduce the grinding force,grinding heat reduce in grinding area,reduce grinding head damage,prolong its service life when it compared with ordinary grinding.It use ultrasonic assisted grinding technique to machine jade,and observe workpiece surface removal characteristics,surface roughness and surface morphology changes before and afterprocessing.it also compared ordinary grinding with ultrasonic assisted grinding to find main shaft speed,workpiece speed,grinding head diameter on the surface of the jade material removal and the workpiece surface quality influence through single factor test and analysis.The experimental results show that ultrasonic vibration assisted grinding can improve the efficiency of the grinding process,reduce the surface roughness of the workpiece,and let workpiece surface has a good surface topography.It further promote the application of ultrasonic processing technology in jade grinding.
