The rolling mill is an important equipment for plastic deformation of the work piece on the rolling line.The function of the transmission shaft of the rolling mill is to transfer the rotation and torque of the motor to the roll of the working frame.Therefore,the main drive system of rolling mill plays an important role in the normal operation of the rolling mill.With the rapid increase in the demand for the number of rolled products and the continuous improvement of the quality requirements.of these products.It's a severe test for the main drive system to have a good carrying capacity.Not long ago,there was a fracture fault in the bearing of a steel rough rolling mill's drive shaft.This paper,the steel rough rolling mill's main drive shaft is used as the analysis object.Based on the investigation of fracture site of the rolling mill's drive shaft,it is from many aspects for drive shaft to conduct research.Specific research contents are as follows.(1)First of all,according to the fracture fault of the rolling mill's main drive shaft,and based on the analysis of the operation process,equipment design,equipment maintenance and macro fracture of the rolling mill,the causes of the fracture fault are found.(2)Secondly,the components of the rolling mill's main drive device are simplified.The three-dimensional model of the rolling mill's main drive device is established according to the size parameters.(3)The balance force provided by the balance device in the main drive system of the rolling mill has a great influence on the stress distribution of the drive shaft.Through the mechanical analysis of this device,the equilibrium equation of each component is established.Thus,the function relationship between the drive shaft's balance force and hydraulic cylinder driving force is derived.(4)According to the function relationship between the drive shaft's balance force and hydraulic cylinder driving force,the program language of balance force is writed in MATLAB software.The maximum value of the drive shaft's balance force and the angle of the working condition are calculated.(5)The three-dimensional model of the rolling mill's main drive device is introduced into the ADAMS to carry out the dynamic simulation.The maximum value of the drive shaft's balance force and the angle of the working condition are extracted.Furthermore,comparative analysis with the theoretical calculation is carried out.(6)According to the conclusion of the analysis,the mechanics is calculated for the rolling mill's drive shaft at the dangerous angle.The cause of the failure of the defect drive shaft is studied,and the reason of the fracture fault of the drive shaft is obtained.
