Gelatin/C composite has been widely applied in the fields of medicine, ink preparation and adhesive preparation fields. To improve the stability of gelatin/C composite, the methods to improve its antimicrobial activity and its application were discussed in this paper, which means that the research work was carried out systematically by choosing Ag NPs and rare earth Ce as antimicrobial agent to prepare stable gelatin/C composite with good antimicrobial activity in order to lay the foundation of its application. The specific works as follows:Firstly, with gelatin, L-AA and AgNO3 as the raw materials, the synthetic reaction condition of AgNPs was investigated, and the optimum preparation conditions of AgNPs was obtained by using response surface methodology:T=75?, t=88min, pH=9.7. The structure of AgNPs was characterized by TEM,XRD. Then, the synthetic AgNPs was compounded with carbon materials to prepare the C/gelatin/AgNPs composite(CGAg). The thermal property and antimicrobial activity of the composite were investigated. The experimental results showed that CGAg had better thermal stability than C/gelatin composite and it was proved that CGAg had good antimicrobial activity against S. aureus and E. coli by measuring the IC50, MIC, MBC.Secondly, C/gelatine/Ce composite (CGCe) was prepared with gelatin,Ce(N03)3 ·6H20 and carbon as raw materials, and its structures, thermal property and antimicrobial activity were investigated. The experimental results showed that CGCe had better thermal property and antimicrobial activity against S. aureus and E. coli. The influences of charge order, molecular weight of gelatin, pH and concentration of Ce(III) on antimicrobial activity were discussed. The IC50, MIC, MBC of the composite were founded, which is demonstrated that Ce(III) can improve the antimicrobial activity of C/gelatin composite and the effect is significant and sustained. Finally, with CGAg or CGCe as raw materials, turkey red oli and glycerin as additives, antibacterial ink were prepared and the application performances of the two antibacterial ink had been researched and contrasted with commercial ink. The experimental results showed that the stability of ink had been improved and the two antibacterial ink also had high writing property, security and environmental friendliness.
