5-hydroxy methyl furfural(HMF)is an important platform compound,which can be converted to biofuel and numerous value-added chemicals.Efficient isomerization of glucose into fructose contributes to the utilization of biomass producing HMF.In this work,polydompamine functionalized cryptomelane-type octahedral manganese oxide molecular sieves(PDA/OMS-2)were used as the support.With the help of polydopmaine(PDA),MnSn(OH)6 was formed on OMS-2.The composite MnSn(OH)6/PDA@OMS-2 can efficiently catalyze the glucose isomerization to fructose,with a yield of fructose 47%.When used together with the Amberlyst@15,the HMF yield from glucose was 53%.The reaction conditions are MnSn(OH)6/PDA/OMS-2:0.1g,Amberlyst@15:0.2 g,D-glucose:1g,DMSO:10 mL,reaction temperature:150?,reaction time:4h.Consecutive use of the composite demonstrated that after 3 cycles,the activity can be retained in terms of the yield of fructose.MnSn(OH)6/PDA/OMS-2 catalyst can be prepared at low temperature in aqueous solution.The catalyst can be further explored and has a potential application for glucose isomerization.
