Mill separator the main machine of new dry cement production line,determines the quality and output of cement, and also influences the energy consumption level of this line. The principle of mill separator:a negative pressure zone is formed in the internal separator by the function of external circulation fans. Materials change from block to powder under the action of mill. By the function of negative pressure, the powders move to whirl area between rotating rotor and guide vanes. By centrifugal action of rotating rotor, big powders are dropped back to vertical mill for second grind, small powders follow the airflow through rotor into cyclone for next process. At the end of twentieth century, mill separator has been widely used for main machine in new dry cement production lines. But the core technology is still in the hands of a few developed countries.There is none independent intellectual property rights of mill separator manipulated by China. The purpose of this paper is to break the monopoly of foreign countries and design the mill separator with independent intellectual property rights.Through the information collected in domestic and foreign new dry cement production lines, we manipulated the advantages and disadvantages of used mill separator, understood the needs and the pain points of users. We made a classified summary of relevant information. Based on that, we designed independently,using the related principle of mechanical desgin to check, using 3D software inventor to model and stress analysis. After repeated checking and revising,formed a complete independent intellectual property rights of mill separator(patent NO. ZL201220718256.2). After designing, we manufactured mill separators for mass production and then used them in many new dry cement production line projects. Through site feedback, this equipment was proved to reach the advanced technology of foreign countries in similar products.This paper firstly analyzes the principle of mill separator, then discusses all the main parts of mill separator,then calculates and checks the corresponding design, finally uses 3D software for modeling and stress analysis.
