3D printing is a kind of rapid prototyping technology,which combine with manufacturing technology and information technology.Metal rapid prototyping technology is the most potential for development and application of 3D printing technology,has aroused widespread concern of international experts and scholars [1].Compared to the domestic and foreign commonly used laser electron beam and other high energy density processing equipment,the process of Welding deposition rapid prototyping is simple,high density of molded parts,the organization has a good isotropy,can be processed function gradient parts,has great application prospects in the field of mold and rapid manufacturing.Based on polar coordinates of the subject development of surfacing welding metal rapid prototyping equipment and process requirements,Through theoretical analysis and experimental research,a reasonable and effective path planning algorithm for rapid metal forming is proposed,The following is the focus of the work carried out in this paper:This paper first introduces the rapid prototyping technology and its research status at home and abroad,and focuses on the current status of data processing technology,Combined with the existing characteristics and process requirements of metal surfacing platform based on polar coordinate model,the structure and function modules of rapid prototyping data processing software system are designed.Secondly,STL data processing is realized,combined with OpenGL technology,to achieve the processing model of three-dimensional online display,zoom,rotate and other functions.According to the characteristics of 3D display model of contour curvature,an adaptive slicing algorithm model,by the method of vector analysis section of the triangle is a layered processing the reasonable thickness,helps to improve the machining efficiency and precision.By optimizing the extraction algorithm of hierarchical patches,the model is fast layered and saves the data storage space.Through the analysis of the polar coordinate mode of rapid prototyping surfacing welding quality defects,the welding process and the welding surface is not smooth,quality defects such as biting edge welding,the contour data by layered extraction,combined with the characteristics of the existing welding equipment,design a suitable welding forming path of polar coordinates under the mode of deposit trajectory.Contour based offset scanning algorithm is applied to thin wall parts.For the non thin-walled complex curved surface parts,combined with the machining characteristics of polar coordinate equipment,a circular arc continuity scanning algorithm is proposed.In the development environment,the path trajectory is displayed and the path trajectory data is extracted.The object oriented integrated development environment based on Delphi7.0 is used to realize the data extraction of the model,the display of the 3D model,the hierarchical data processing,and the forming welding control software of the trajectory planning.Finally,through the system setting and debugging,the experiment is carried out in the PT mode,and the optimal welding parameters and the weld overlap are obtained through experiments.On the basis of this,the path planning surfacing experiment is carried out to obtain a good welding quality part model,and the rationality of the forming track is verified.
