Groundwater is an important water resource on the earth. It is widely used in industrial, agricultural production and drinking because of its abundant reserves, wide distribution, pure water quality and easy exploitation.Groundwater is used as drinking water source in most cities and most of the rural areas in China, and its quality is closely related to the life of the residents.Agricultural fertilizer abuse, indiscriminate discharge of industrial wastewater, sanitary waste and garbage discharged without treatment caused pollution to groundwater. It is difficult to control the groundwater pollution and the deeper the water level, the worse the ability of self-purification,the water quality of groundwater will take a long time to recover, which seriously threatens the health of the residents. In this paper, through the collection of groundwater samples from 58 villages in Luolong rural areas, using ICP-MS analysis samples of pH,temperature, dissolved oxygen, conductivity, total hardness, fluoride and 16 kinds of metal elements in Luolong rural areas of Luoyang City,to explore the pollution characteristics of groundwater, and to evaluate the groundwater quality and health risk assessment. The main results of the study are as follows:(1)The range of pH,temperature, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, total hardness and fluoride concentration of groundwater in Luolong rural areas were 7.07~8.01,11.8~24.8?,257.0~1041.0?s/cm,0.10~0.25mg/L,138.72~634.77mg/L,0.12~0.49 mg/L,respectively.The total hardness exceeded the water quality limit of groundwater quality standard in some areas, and there were about 20% areas, distributed in the northwest, south and northeast part of Luolong areas;(2)The conductivity, dissolved oxygen, total hardness and fluoride concentration of groundwater increased with the groundwater depth change decreased in Luolong rural areas, the water quality of deep groundwater was better than the shallow groundwater, and the water quality of the tap water was better than the groundwater in Luolong district;(3)The concentration range of V,B,Ti,Cu,Fe,Mn,Ni,Co,Cd,Cr,As of groundwater in Luolong rural areas were 0.23~5.61?g/L,0~18.30?g/L,0~8.84?g/L,1.06~13.53?g/L,3.65~86.20?g/L,0~15.50?g/L,0~2.64?g/L,0~0.32?g/L,0.08~0.21?g/L,0~3.58?g/L and 0~0.26?g/L,respectively.All the concentration were very low and far less than the groundwater quality standard limit;the distribution characteristics of the elements in Luolong rural areas were differences and did not show obvious similarities; In addition to the concentration of V and depth was proportional to the other, the concentration of B,Ti,Cu,Fe,Mn,Ni,Co of groundwater in Luolong rural areas increased with the increase of groundwater depth decreased. That showed the deep groundwater quality was better than the shallow groundwater on the whole;(4)The comprehensive evaluation of groundwater pollution for pH,total hardness, fluoride,V,B,Ti,Cu,Fe,Mn in low water period of Luolong rural areas were class II(good)and above;which show that the interaction of various detection index did not cause significant pollution of groundwater in Luolong rural areas, and the quality of groundwater was good and will not change significantly in the short term;(5)The non-carcinogenic risk values and total non-carcinogenic risk values of pollutants of groundwater in low water period in Luolong rural areas were 0~9.12E-02 and 1.47E-02~9.63E-02,which were less than 1 and were the body acceptable level or can be ignored;the non-carcinogenic risk contribution rate of Cu was the highest, should be concerned;the carcinogenic risk values of Cr in Qianyao village and Cd in Litun village were 1.79E-04 and 1.56E-05,which were more than 1×10-5 and were unacceptable risk level;the other sampling points of groundwater did not have carcinogenic risk or carcinogenic risk level was very low and was in the controllable range.
