The high pressure tubular reactor process provided by lyondellbasell had been used and put into production in several LDPE plants in China.In the production process,the fouling often occurs.The LDPE plant of Lanzhou Petrochemical Company has a nominal capacity of 200,000 tons per year,since the start,there have occurred several times the sticky phenomenon of the fouling in the tubular reactor,the average capacity per hour is 3-6 tons lower than design value(according to different product grades).This article analyzes the phenomenon of the fouling in LDPE plant of Lanzhou Petrochemical Company,it think that too much impurity content in fresh ethylene or cylinder oil,too slow when establishing polymerization,less modification in system,less flow rate of hot water,poor peroxide complex ratio optimization,too weak of kick valve parameter,using mineral oil as the cylinder oil may form fouling.That adjusting peroxide formulations,adjusting the parameters of kick valve,adjusting water flow and temperature,changing the type of cylinder oil are most effective treatment methods to deal with fouling.From recent five years of production practice,fouling can be removed from the reactor,the output can reach the design value.
