High speed motorized spindle plays a vital role in the CNC machine. In recent years, with the high-precision machining technology improving step by step, people have increasingly demand on the high-performance CNC machine, so high speed motorized spindle becomes the focus of research. Simulating the actual working condition with the motorized spindle loading test can not only analyze and study the reliability, but also save the cost. Aiming at the problems of friction, vibration and noise in the traditional contact loading, the achieved non-contact electromagnetic loading method can avoid these problems, and overcome most of the problems existing in the contact loading.This paper gives a systematic and current introduction of the domestic and foreign loading device which is related to the electromagnetic load and related to the motorized spindle, and describes the advantages and disadvantages of vaiious loading devices.The electromagnetic loading system of the motorized spindle is analyzed, and electromagnetic field of electromagnetic loading device is in detail solved by electromagnetic theory, including dynamic magnetic field distribution and dynamic electromagnetic force. At last, the mathematical model of the electromagnetic loading device is obtained and the finite element simulation is carried out by using ANSYS Maxwell software.The mathematical model of the loading plate power is established in this paper due to the serious heating of the loading plate during the dynamic electromagnetic loading. Through the derivation, the analytical solution of heating power is obtained. Based on it, the relationship between the rotational speed and the temperature rise of the loading plate is obtained by using basically the same.The electromagnetic loading system is introduced, and the data collection is completed,including radial loading force and real-time temperature of loading plate rise. The results are consistent with the analytical results and the finite element results, which verified the correctness of analytical calculation and finite element analysis. In addition, aiming at the shortage of the loading device, this paper put forwards specific methods from material selection and structure design of loading plate and proposed and analyzed it, which provides the basis for improving the electromagnetic loading device.
