Polypropylene is widely used in various industries. At the same time, the waste polypropylene continues to increase, and it's hard to degradation without any processing. The waste polypropylene will cause serious pollution to the environment. But, waste polypropylene is not good for nothing, still has certain mechanical strength and some valid functions.After modification, the waste polypropylene still can become a new product and play a role. In recent years, research on waste polypropylene modified with binary composite material is given priority, there are more studies in unilateral performance enhancement, the overall performance is not significantly improved.In this paper, based on the modification of mica reinforced polypropylene (PP) plastic, at the same time, the introduction of HDPE synergy of modified polypropylene, HDPE on the one hand is a kind of widely used modified material, on the other hand it can ease the composite defects such as low toughness, processing performance is not ideal, after add mica.The results show that when the KH570 is 5%, the effect of surface modification of mica has the best effect;When the mica is 15 parts, the dosage of waste polypropylene/Mica binary composite material has the best tensile strength, and impact resistance; High density polyethylene (HDPE)on waste polypropylene has obviously improved the performance of all aspects, and the more HDPE, the performance of polypropylene composite effect is improved more obviously, but considering the factors such as machining cost,when the addition amount is 24, waste pp/HDPE binary composite material has the best performance.Based on the ternary composite proportion of repeated experiments, found that when the ratio of waste PP/HDPE/Mica as 100/24/15, the ternary composite material has the best comprehensive performance, the tensile strength of 21.36 MPa, increased by 22%, the impact strength is 9.62 kJ/m2, increased by 90%, when the cross section morphology form have obvious and no mica powder agglomeration phenomenon of fiber bundles, modification effect is more ideal.At the same time, weathering test of composite materials, the mechanical properties of the material, melt index, cross section scanning studies shows that a single join of HDPE can accelerate PP aging, speed up effect is not obvious; Mica itself have shielding effect of uv, can effectively delay the ageing of PP. Ternary composite system also have the existence of polymer aging degradation, and there have a drop invarious performances, but the rate of decline significantly is less than the waste polypropylene and binary composite materials.
