Comparing soft reduction and the heavy reduction technology in the parameters,differences exist in depression interval,the location of the reduction,the amount of reduction,etc.The theoretical study on the parameters of the heavy reduction process must be carried out by ANSYS finite element software for numerical simulation.In this study,the two-dimensional model of solidification and heat transfer of slab is established,and the temperature field during slab cooling process is studied.Considering the volatility of secondary cooling process parameters such as the casting speed,superheat,the ratio of water effect the solidification temperature field and solidification end position of slab,then the three-dimensional model of slab pressing was established,and the behavior of rolling process was analyzed.It was found that the effect of different cooling parameters on the solidification temperature field and solidification end position was different,and the change of the superheat position has little effect on the end position of the solidification.The influence of the cast speed is the most,and the second is water ratio.The stress in the reduction process is concentrated on the upper surface of the slab in contact with the roller.When the reduction is completed,the reduction displacement of the slab on the same section decreases from the surface to the center,and the reduction amount can be transferred to the center of the slab.When the reduction is 20 mm,the center of the deformation is1mm;corner location the highest equivalent stress of 480 Mpa,indicated that in the process of pressure is the most prone to crack corner position.During the process of heavy reduction,the slab has a certain width,and with the increase of the reduction,the width of the slab is greatly increased.When the reduction is 20 mm,the slab width is 34.5mm;and the width of the 30 mm reduction is58.8mm.As the slab under pressure to occur when the elastic-plastic deformation,so in the process of rolling down to achieve a particular amount of pressure required to roll down a greater amount can only be achieved.When the target reduction is 20 mm,the total reduction of the five rollers is 24 mm,and then 30 mm,the total reduction is 36 mm.
