We are rich in heavy oil resources in our country, but the oil recovery is low for ordinary heavy oil reservior. Therefore, how to improve the oil recovery of this kind of reservoir is a problem that we need to solve immediately. In this paper,I make a feasibility study for the o/w emulsion flooding to enhance oil recovery of conventional heavy oil reservoir.First,I made a study about the emulsion displacement system in the paper. Here is the result. When the concertration of the surfactant TA-13 is greater than 0.1%,the emulsion stabilized by surfactant TA-13 can be stable for more than 15 days. But the salt resistence of the emulsion is not good. While the nanoparticle was added to the emulsion stabilized by surfactant TA-13,the stability and the salt resistence of the emulsion was improved significantly. When the concentration of the nanoparticle is greater than 0.3%,the viscosity of the emulsion increased significantly. The results of physical simulation experiments show that when the emulsion flow through the core medium, the permeability of the core medium will reduce. For plugging performance, the emulsion stabilized by nanoparticle and surfactant has a better plugging performance. For displacement performance, the emulsion stabilized by nanoparticle and surfactant has a better displacement performance and a wider permeability using range. The results of microscopic visualization experiments show that the emulsion can disperse into the heavy oil.On the one hand the emulsion control the fingering of the low viscosity displacement system. On the other hand the emulsion can reduce the viscosity of the heavy oil and improve the mobility of heavy oil.In addition, the surfactant in the emulsion can emulsify the heavy oil into oil-in-water emulsion droplets and improve the efficiency of washing oil.
