Because of the rapid development of automobile manufacturing industry,the manufacturing process of engine connecting rod has been paid more and more attention.The overall mechanical properties of castings produced by traditional methods are not satisfactory.Among them,the cracking is not open,the deformation of the main hole is the most common defects,which not only improves the use of the material requirements,but also very strict technical requirements,so the scope of application of the connecting rod is limited.In order to solve the above problems and expand the scope of application of splitting connecting rod material and solve the problem of connecting rod splitting in the study of the full combination of real and simulated the two methods,the main purpose is to solve the shrinkage and gas volume and warm and other casting defects,and strengthen the composite surface bonding strength.So this paper choose low carbon steel as the main material and the choice of high carbon steel as cracking material,casting process based on the combination of two different materials,by casting casting in the shell cooling to improve the cracking of brittle materials in order to smooth connecting rod cracking.First of all,this paper chooses PROCAST as a tool for casting process simulation,a detailed analysis of filling and solidification and the effective stress distribution,and then can get the most suitable pouring scheme,and comprehensive experiment based on orthogonal to determine the shrinkage and deformation of the value of effective stress and meets the requirements for the final process parameters the best.Secondly,the characteristics of bimetallic interface nodes were observed and the diffusion properties were evaluated.Through the study,it is found that the liquid to solid ratio of 12:1 to 24:1 is the most favorable to the diffusion,and the fact is that the shape of the zigzag shape cracking material is better,and the pouring time of the main material is 0 to 20 seconds.Furthermore,after the optimal process parameters were obtained,the feasibility and rationality of the model were verified by the actual investment casting.It is proved that the method is reasonable and has no casting defects,so as to avoid the oxidation of the castings under high temperature.Finally,the mechanical properties and the microstructure characteristics of the bimetallic specimens were confirmed to meet the requirements,and based on the tensile test,it was verified that the diffusion of the elements was good,and the strength of the interface bonding was ideal.The test that can obtain smooth interface tensile cracking,cracking and brittle material better smooth cracking.On the whole,the feasibility and reliability of the scheme is higher.Through the research of this paper,we hope to provide some reference value for the casting process...
