Topology optimization supplies the optimal material distribution,it seeks the locations to put the materials and spots so as to achieve the best structural performance in the given design domain.Due to higher design requirement from the actual engineering application,topology optimization has achieved a rapid development in the past three decades.As a hotspot in the field of topology optimization,Structural multiscale analysis and optimization has got more attentions from relevant scholars.This paper tries to solve this problem by adopting the Moving Morphable Components(MMC)method as the optimization framework.The detail shows as below.MMC method uses the components as the unit for optimization.The design variables comprise the geometry and position information of the components so that one can express explicitly the structural boundary.By computing the intersection size and analyzing sensitivity,the size can be controlled in the special range.With the help of the intersection size control algorithm,the given area will not be covered by other components.Finally,several examples which the components with joint are used in the optimization will verify the validity of the algorithm.Next,components' internal area will be hollowed and be filled with periodic unit cells.The microstructure in the cell is formed by weeny components.With sensitivity analysis,we will obtain the optimal microstructure.Of course,the final microstructure is determined by the location of the macro-component.In order to transmit the information between macrostructure and microstructures,the Homogenization method is used to calculate the equivalent property.Finally,a series of examples prove that this method can realize the optimization of the macrostructure and microstructures.Compared with traditional methods,the proposed method can get clear and explicit macroscopic and mesoscopic structure;the number of design variables is reduced significantly and the computational efficiency is improved obviously.Next stage,the optimization of multi-components structural system is researched.The embedding components' layout and structural topology design is investigate by using MMC method and the Solid Isotropic Microstructures with Penalization(SIMP)method.The embedding components are made up with the periodic unit cells and the material distribution of the cells and the optimization strategy are similar as mentioned above so that the microstructure can be optimized in the same time.Numerical examples illustrate that we can optimized structure and the material in the same time and the shape,position and number of the embedding components can be also be controlled.By using the MMC method to solve the problem of the structural multiscale optimization we can avoid much more design variables and the poor computation efficiency in the traditional methods.Once solving more complex problem,the thoughts in this paper also have important significance.
