Ferulic acid?4-hydroxy-3-methoxycinnamic acid?,is an important antioxidant ester compounds. In this paper,surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy?SERS?technique was used to detect ferulic acid molecules. The main feature of SERS was that it was attached to the surface of rough gold, silver or copper, and its molecular cross section increased by 104-107 times.Gold, silver or copper is commonly used as a metal substrate for SERS,and most of the SERS experiments are made of silver as a substrate. However,in practical applications,SERS still need to overcome many problems, one is to enhance the effect of the necessary conditions for the metal substrate surface roughening, only in the metal surface is roughened,SERS performance will appear, but also to select the appropriate of the roughness.Second, how to prepare a stable performance of the substrate, studies have shown that some semiconductors, such as zinc oxide, titanium dioxide and so on.The Ag/TiO2-quartz slides composite surface formed in this paper enhances the Raman substrate and binds to ferulic acid through carboxyl groups. The detection limit of ferulic acid was 10-5mol/L.Second,ferulic acid in the plant is not in the form of free, exist in the way of ester, and low content. But in some angelica, ferulic,Chuanxiong and other Chinese herbal medicines in the higher content. In this paper, the distribution of ferulic acid in Angelica sinensis was observed by coherent anti-Stokes Raman spectroscopy?CARS?spectroscopy. The specific peak position of ferulic acid can be imaged at the specific test point position to determine the existence of ferulic acid at the test point, and it is an important means to judge the merits and demerits of Chinese herbal medicine. The surface enhanced Raman spectra of low concentration ferulic acid-ethanol solution were obtained by using the prepared surface-enhanced Raman substrate, and the application of this technique was further extended. The specific distribution of ferulic acid in Angelica sinensis was studied and elaborated by CARS imaging technique. The surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy and coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering technique were used in the detection of high efficiency and sensitivity in drug detection.
