Due to the low temperature around the new launched heated oil pipeline,a sharp increase of friction or even condensation may occur,if the pipeline is put into service directly.So the research on commissioning flow rate and temperature,with the prediction of ambient and inner temperature field of the pipeline,is of great importance.The research achievements of the pre-commission of pipelines are firstly studied in this paper.Related calculation methods and theories are listed in this thesis.Several cases are stated in the paper to compare different processes.A certain pipeline,which is the heavy chemical materials pipeline from Huangdao to Changyi,is studied carefully,including the process of start-up and pre-commission.Systematic calculation has been undertaken to optimize the pre-commission process and a best procedure which is launching after heating is chosen through economical comparison.Adjustment of the feasibility study in diameter is made,which choose 660 mm as the best diameter.With the procedure is chosen,steady and unsteady conditions which will occur in the future operation are studied to guarantee the safety and economic operation of this pipeline.Steady-state operating conditions include different flow rates and ambient temperature.Non-steady-state operating conditions include the first station blackout,valve shutdown accident.Safe shutdown times of different flow-rates are also calculated.In the last part,a practical commission procedure is proposed in order to guide the future actions.
