The alloy materials are widely used in aerospace, atomic, medical and chemical fields, because of its excellent plasticity, corrosion resistance, processing ductility and low thermal neutron absorption cross section. However, due to the corrosion and wear of alloy materials are likely to happen in the process of working, results in the decrease of its life cycle and reliability. What's more, the related studies found that using strengthening techniques in the surface of alloy materials can solve such problems effectively. In this paper,yttrium-stabilized zirconia coating(YSZ)was prepared on the surface of flaky and tubular alloying sample by electrophoretic deposition. On the flake samples, orthogonal experiments were designed, metallographic microscopy, scanning electron microscopy(SEM),and X-ray diffraction(XRD)was used to characterize the microstructure and composition of the surface and cross section of the coating.A probe profiler and a micron scratches instrument were used to measure the thickness and adhesion of the coating. At last, analyze the deposition voltage, deposition time, pole spacing and heat treatment time effect on the morphology and properties of YSZ coating. What's more, designed the tubular sample electrophoretic deposition experiment according to the results. Finally,a uniform and dense coating was prepared on the inner surface of the tubular sample. The results show that when the deposition time is less than 4min and the deposition voltage is lower than 120 V,the uniform and dense YSZ coating can be prepared on the surface of the sheet alloy materials. The thickness of the coating is about 10 ~ 50?m,the coating thickness decreases with the increasing of the pole spacing, and increase with the increasing of deposition voltage and deposition time. What's more, the binding force of the coating increases with the increasing of the deposition voltage, and first increases then decrease with the increasing of the deposition time, and first decrease then increases with the increasing of the pole spacing. The order of the influence of each factor on the binding force is: deposition time> deposition voltage> pole spacing. After improving the flow rate and deposition method, the YSZ coating with uniform and dense cover can be prepared on the inner surface of the tubular sample, but the binding force of the coating is slightly decreased due to the erosion of the liquid.
