Paper-based microfluidic technology is a low-cost,fast integration, simple operation, easy to carry the multi-functional detection technology.it has been widely applied in many fields and a huge development has been made in medical diagnose, environment monitoring and food safety.Comparing with the traditional fabricating materials, paper as a basement material has a lot of unique advantages including hydrophilic ability, porosity and biocompatibility.UV inkjet printing is a vary applicable manufacturing method of paper-based microfluidics with simple,fast,large-scale industrial production and other advantages.FDM3 D printing technology is a new fabrication method with the advantages of digital control and rapid manufacturing,it had been applied greatly in paper-based microfluidics.Based on the three weight of paper,UV inkjet printing and FDM3 D printing, the paper studied the effect of liquid penetration behaviors of microfluidics, and finished the simple detection of glucose, protein and ethanol. In the study of the effect of different weight of paper on liquid penetration behaviors in paper-based microfluidics,we got the results that the diffusion length of the solution on the filter paper decreases with the increase of the weight of paper, and the diffusion length is linearly related to the weight filter paper. In the microfluidic channel formed by UV inkjet printing, the limitation of hydrophobic area for solution was affected by the numbers of printing layers. The diffusion length of the solution through the hydrophobic region decreases with the increase of the number of layers. After 4 layers, the diffusion length remains constant, while the ethanol solution is not limited by the hydrophobic region. At the same time, the hydrophilic channel with different width after printing has some influence on the diffusion efficiency of the solution. The diffusion length decreases with the increase of the hydrophilic channel width, and the diffusion efficiency decreases with the increase of the width. The paper-based microfluidics, which is formed by UV inkjet printing,is a highly efficient and efficient method for the formation of high-precision hydrophilic channels and the high diffusion efficiency in the qualitative detection of glucose and protein. But there are some defects in the detection of alcohol-soluble substances. In type of FDM 3D printing technology, the influence of different printing parameters on the physical performance of FDM3 D printing model was studied. The formation of a support substrate through FDM3 D printing, and combination with a cut filter paper could create a new paper-based microfluidics, which could solve the problem that UV inkjet printing of paper-based microfluidics cannot limit the penetration of alcohol-soluble solution, and finally completed the detection of ethanol.
