It is observed that the rare earth doped materials can realize the up-conversion luminescence,which shows great potential in temperature measurement,detectors for infrared radiation and three-dimensional display etc.In such background,researchers pay more attention to find new rare earth?RE?doped materials at home and abroad.GaFe O3 ceramics has well-stability,low photon energy,which make it suitable for rare earth?RE?doped material.Ga FeO3 ceramics is a kind of ferroelectric material so that we can discuss correspondence between the spectrum and the applied electric field.Base on above consideration,the work choose GaFe O3:Er3+/Yb3+ceramics as the rare earth?RE?doped materials and investigated the up-conversion luminescence properties.In this paper,the GaFeO3:Er3+/Yb3+ceramics is prepared by a conventional solid-state reaction technique.The doping concentration of Er3+ are 1%,,2%,3%,4%,5% and the doping concentration of Yb3+ is 5%.XRD,Raman spectrum and SEM etc.are used to study the structural characteristics and make sure the samples are qualified.At room temperature,the up-conversion luminescence properties of GaFe O3:Er3+/Yb3+ceramics were studied by 970 nm excitation light source.The results show that the concentration quenching effect occurs and the quenching concentration of Er3+is 4%.This effect is caused by the Cross Relaxation?CR?between Er3+ and Er3+,which deterrents the fluorescence emission process.Then,the relationship between the fluorescence intensity of GaFeO3:Er3+/Yb3+ceramics and the pump power was studied.By fitting the fluorescence intensity and pump power,the slope of double logarithmic curve doesn't strictly close to 2,the number of photon,which participate in up-conversion luminescence processes.A variety of electric field were applied to Ga FeO3:Er3+/Yb3+ceramics to explore the relationship between the up-conversion luminescence intensity and the applied electric field.Response between the up-conversion performance and temperature was discussed.by testing GaFeO3:Er3+/Yb3+ceramics up-conversion light spectrum in different temperature conditions.This work got the Temperature Sensitivity of GaFe O3 for the first time and proved that as a rare earth?RE?doped materials.GaFe O3 is more independent to temperature than other materials,which provided possibility in complicated and temperature-changing circumstances.
