As a kind of hydrogen storage material,sodium borohydride has many advantages,such as high hydrogen purity,high capacity storage,zero discharge,simple reaction of conditions and so on,which has attracted widespread attention.The purity of hydrogen produced by sodium borohydride hydrolysis was higher.It could meet the requirements of PEMFC system using hydrogen and it can be organically combined with PEMFC.In recent years,it has been found that the most important problem was to find a more suitable catalyst for the hydrolysis of sodium borohydride for producing sodium borohydride.This paper mainly studied CoB mixed with La2O3,CeO2,Pr6O11,Nd2O3,Sm2O3,Yb2O3,Y2O3 in different proportions respectively,and then the influence of various systems on the hydrolysis and hydrogen release of sodium borohydride under the conditions of mixed catalyst content of 2%,3%,4% and 5%,respectively.The amount of hydrogen discharge experiment by drainage method measured the hydrolysis reaction.Cobalt boride was produced by sodium borohydride firstly.Then the hydrogen was collected through the exhaust method.Finally,the properties of hydrolysis of sodium borohydride was studied,by analyzing the amount of sodium borohydride hydrolysis and hydrogen desorption rate and the average hydrogen production rate.The result shows that the effect of rare earth oxides on the hydrolysis of sodium borohydride is closely related to the type of rare earth oxides,the proportion of mixed catalyst and the doping ratio.When the ratio of the mixed catalyst increases with different types of rare earth oxides,the average rate of hydrolysis of sodium borohydride increases generally,reaching the maximum at 5%.The result showed that the maximum amount of hydrogen release is 2905.3 ml·g-1 in the hydrolysis reaction of sodium borohydride doped with 10wt% La2O3 of 3% mass of the mixed catalyst.When the content of mixed catalyst is 5% and doped with 10% Nd2O3,the average rate of reaction of sodium borohydride is the fastest,and it is 3485.4 ml·g-1·min-1.
