Preparation And Adsorption Properties Of Aerogel Based On Methyl-cellulose

At present,the printing and dyeing wastewater pollution problem is still serious and it is urgent to solve this problem.Adsorption is one of the most economical and efficient way to deal with wastewater.In this paper,the preparation of aerogel based on methyl-cellulose was explored and optimized.The viscosity of methyl-cellulose,glutaraldehyde concentration,crosslinking temperature,the mass ratio of methyl-cellulose/chitosan?MC/CS?,aerogel density was discussed in the process of preparation and adsorption.We characterized and analyzed the adsorbent by SEM,FT-IR and TG.The result shows that when the methyl-cellulose viscosity was 1600cPs,the concentration of glutaraldehyde was 5%,cross-linking temperature was 50?,the ratio of MC/CS was 6:4,density was 10mg/ml,methyl-cellulose aerogel expressed superior adsorption capacity on Congo Red and Methyl Blue.This paper also study the influence of adsorbent dosage,adsorption time,the initial concentration of solution,pH of solution on the methyl-cellulose aerogels adsorptent effects of dyes?Congo Red,Methyl Blue?and heavy metal ions(Pb²⁺,Cu²⁺)The experimental results show that when the adsorbent dosage was 0.06g,adsorption time was 300min,the initial concentration of solution was 300ppm,CR solution pH was about 7.3,MB solution pH value was 8⁹,static saturated adsorption capacity was 491.13mg/g,169.24mg/g.When the addition amount of methyl cellulose aerogel was 0.06g,the adsorption time was240 min,the initial concentration of solution was 150ppm,and the solution pH was about 5.The static saturated adsorption capacity of heavy metal ions was 118.66mg/g,95mg/g.
