Electrospinning is a successful and efficient method for preparing nanofibers.In the process of preparing the spinning solution,some functional materials could be added to obtain the functional nanofiber film.In this study,rutin was included into ?-cyclodextrin and hydroxypropyl-?-cyclodextrin to obtain inclusion complexes.And then they were ncorporated in Polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)nanofibers via electrospinning.Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)and differential scanning calorimetery(DSC)were used to verify the formation of inclusion complexes.The surface morphology of nanofiber membranes were characterized by scanning electron microscope(SEM).The anti-UV properties of rutin nanofiber membranes with different loading contents under the same experimental conditions were measured by anti-UV tester.Then the cumulative release properties of nanofiber membranes were tested by UV-Vis spectrophotometer.The results obtained can be summarized as follows:1.The results showed that the Rutin/?-cyclodextrin inclusion complexes and Rutin/hydroxypropyl-?-cyclodextrin inclusion complexes(RT/HP-?-CD-IC)were formed successfully.2.In the electrospinning experiment,different physical properties of polymer will impact on the morphological characteristics of nanofibers significantly.The results showed that the optimum polymer for preparing of the nanofibers loaded with rutin by electrospinning is polyvinyl alcohol.3.Due to the inclusion complexes,the loading of rutin in elceteospun membrances was improved significantly.The loading of RT in PVA/RT/HP-?-CD-IC nanofiber membranes have been increased by 2.5 times compared to the PVA/RT nanofiber membrane.In addition,the addition of rutin can significantly enhance the UV resistance of nanofiber membranes.4.The burst release of rutin was observed when the PVA/RT nanofiber membrance was placed into the PBS buffer solution,more than 90%of rutin was be released within 0.5h,while the PVA/RT/?-CD-IC and PVA/RT/HP-?-CD-IC nanofiber membrances indicated a sustain release.In general,functional materials could be included into the cyclodextrin to form cyclodextrin inclusion complex.Then the functional nanofibers could be produced by adding these cyclodextrin inclusion complex via electrospinning.
