With the deterioration of environment and the aggravation of energy crisis,fuel cell as an environmental and efficient energy attracted increasing international attention.Compared with the expensive proton exchange membrane fuel cells?PEMFCs?,anion exchange membrane fuel cells?AEMFCs?have more business promise,because the use of non noble metal catalysts?such as cobalt,silver and nickel catalysts?.As one of the most important components of AEMFCs,anion exchange membrane?AEM?has a decisive influence on the performance of the fuel cell and AEM must have excellent ionic conductivity,high chemical stability,mechanical strength and low water swelling.This paper mainly introduced the synthesis of the spirocyclic quaternary ammonium?Spirocyclic QAs?based AEMs with excellent alkaline stability and semi-interpenetrating network?Semi-IPN?based AEMs with high ionic conductivity.The main work is as follows:?1?The alkaline stable spirocyclic QAs based AEMs were prepared.The AEMs with the same ion exchange capacity?IEC?were synthesized via crosslinking of styrene,acrylonitrile and spirocyclic QAs cations?[DAPy][Br],[DAPi][Br],[DAHM][Br]?,respectively.The water uptake,swelling degree,conductivity and alkaline stability of the AEMs were investigated.All the membranes exhibite conductivity above 10-2 S cm-1 at40 oC.After 168 h immersed in alkaline solution,the membranes maintain excellent alkaline stability due to the excellent alkaline stability of the spirocyclic QAs and the?[PAPi][OH]?membrane based on the?[DAPi][Br]?exhibited the best alkaline stability.?2?The Semi-IPN based AEMs with excellent mechanical strength was prepared.The[MeAlPip][Br],[MeAlPyr][Br],[VCyIm][Br]and[VMeIm][Br])were polymerized,respectively.The polymers were added into the nitrile rubbers which dissolved in the N-methyl pyrrolidone?NMP?.The membranes with the same ion exchange capacity?IEC?were prepared by casting the solution on the glass at high temperature.The water uptake,swelling degree,conductivity and chemical stability of these membranes were investigated and the membranes showed high conductivity.The membranes still maintain high conductivity after 48 h immersed in the alkaline solution and the AEM based on?[VCyIm][Br]?exhibited best alkaline stability.
