Phase-change materials have the advantages of energy storage,energy conservation and reusability,which can alleviate many problems caused by energy shortage.Micro-encapsulation of phase-change materials can solve the problems of leakage,volatility,poor stability of them in phase change,and improve heat transfer efficiency and reuse rate.However,because of the limited options of the the core materials and wall materials,most of the phase change microcapsules still have the problems of formaldehyde release and high production cost,which limits their promotions and applications.Therefore,the selection of core materials and wall materials,and the preparation of the phase-change microcapsule materials of high efficiency,stability,environment-friend and economy has become an urgent issue.The major work of our study could be summarized as the following four aspects:(1)With n-tetradecyl alcohol as core material,styrene and butyl acrylate as wall materials,the n-tetradecyl alcohol phase-change microcapsules were prepared by emulsion polymerization,and the types and amounts of emulsifier,the types of initiator and the mass ratio of core to wall were investigated;(2)With lauric acid-stearic acid binary phase change material as a core material by melt-blending process,the lauric acid-stearic acid phase change microcapsules were prepared by the emulsion polymerization;(3)The particle size,surface morphology,thermal properties and chemical composition of the phase-change microcapsules were characterized by laser particle sizer,SEM,DSC,TG and FTIR;(4)By padding process,the thermal-storage and temperature-regulated cotton fabrics were prepared,and the related thermal-storage and temperature-regulated property,handle,air permeability and wash fastness were studied.The research results show that:(1)The optimal synthesis conditions of n-tetradecyl alcohol phase change microcapsule are as follows: SDS-HD as emulsifier of 6%,AIBN as initiator,the mass ratio of core to wall is 1: 1;the n-tetradecyl alcohol phase change microcapsules are spherical and smooth in shape,and the average particle size was 463.1 nm,the latent heat of phase transition is 77.8 J/g,the melting temperature is 40.95 ?,and have good thermal stability.(2)Lauric acid-stearic acid phase change microcapsules are prepared with lactic acid and stearic acid(mass ratio 9: 1)as binary phase change materials,having the average particle of 126.4 nm,and regular spherical shape and smooth surface.The latent heat of transformation is 77.27 J/g,the phase transition temperature is in the range of 28 ~ 43 ?,the melting peak temperature is37.45 ?,and have good thermal stability;(3)The thermal-storage and temperature-regulated cotton fabrics have good energy storage and self-regulating function,as well as a certain degree of washing fastness,and have little effect on the fabric feel,but reduce the air permeability to some degree.
