| Terracotta culture,is known not only as the cream of human history,but also the splendid art combination of ancient craftsmen,by their wisdom and perspiration.The existence of the armor of Terracotta Warriors,conveys its history,culture and spirit to the world.More and more Chinese elements are stepping on the world stage,which appears to be a hit with local and overseas designers in nowadays while the easternism is leading the trend.The artworks take Terracotta culture as the design theme are constantly coming on to major tournaments and runways.Much progress has already been made in the theoretical researches of the application of the Terracotta Warriors armor element in the clothing,but it is insufficient in the practice.As one of the most widely used consumer groups in the modern clothing industry,leisure dress has an apparent characteristic of the era.On the one hand,the mix of leisure dress and Terracotta culture is dedicated to the comfort and functionality for the daily wear.On the other hand,it’s has more practical value than before while trying to mix the elements together,especially the national cultural element.The fusion of the function and beauty of Terracotta Warriors armor and leisure dress presents a unique style.Thus the thesis has significant theoretical meaning and practical value.Thesis is divided into eight chapters,which thoroughly analyzes and explains the researching content.The first chapter points out the foundation of the selected topic,research status,research methods,and the significance of the research.The second chapter discusses the concept of amor,which is mainly analyzes the features of Terracotta Warriors armor.what’s more,the chapter draws the line of all the models by computer which is providing reference for the theoretical research.Models,colours,patterns of the Terracotta Warriors armor are analyzed through the third chapter.Meanwhile,as one of the most significant chapters in the paper,the fourth chapter first conceptualizes the Terracotta Warriors armor which is including different amor elements and body parts.Then analyzes the elements with the methods of realism and simplification.In addition,it will represent by computer graphics.Introduction and definition about the design methods and craftsmanship are mentioned in the fifth chapter.The sixth chapter is on the basis of the study resultaccording to the first five parts,discusses the application of the Terracotta Warriors armor element in the clothing.The seventh chapter is as vital as the fourth chapter,shows the determination of design,the choice of manufacturing process and the final design results respectively,which provides the practical supply of the paper.The eighth chapter draws the conclusion and propose the further research direction.The thesis makes combination between theory study and practical use,thus the results reflect in the clothing design through the practice.The aim of the thesis is to provide some valuable research experience in clothing design are in two aspects,which are inheriting and applying the national culture. |
