Electromagnetic processing of materials has given the range and extensive application prospect,it has been drawing people's attention by the advantages of cleanliness and high efficiency.The impact of MHD effect and magnetic field force have a profound impact for the capability of brush plating coating.Ni brush plating,n-Al2O3/Ni composite brush plating coatings and Ni-W/Ni-Co alloy brush plating were preparing by the effect of magnetic field and electric field.Scanning electron microscopy?SEM?,X-ray diffraction?XRD?,friction and wear tests are applied to study the influence of brush plating in the magnetic fields on the morphology,composition,structure,hardness and wear properties of the magnetic field of brush plated coating.The coating in the 0.2T magnetic field intensity can obtain better optimization function and small grain size.It can also obtain smooth coating surface morphology and good efficiency of deposition.At the same time,mechanical properties of coating does not have any obvious defects.The main strengthening mechanisms of magnetic field on the brush plating is that the ions engendered MHD effect and enhanced the efficiency of deposition coating.The MHD effect can also refine the grain and enhanced the fine grain strengthening effect.When the magnetic field intensity was 0.1T and 0.2T,the grains of n-Al2O3/Ni composite brush plating became smaller.when the magnetic field intensity is 0.1T,deposition efficiency and microhardness was better than the wear resistance.The deposition efficiency is not high because of the Al2O3 particles.Nano alumina particles in the codeposition process does not regard as a nucleation center,however looking upon as a heterogeneous dispersed second phase distributed in brush plating layer.The formation of fine grain strengthening and dispersion strengthening were dual function.The surface of Ni-WC-Nb coating becomes dense and uniform due to the addition of rare earth neodymium.The content of WC in the coating improves the mechanical properties of the Ni-W brush plating were improved.
