In recent years,China's environmental pollution has attracted widely attention.Because of the direct relation between localities and environmental problems,we have to build environment visualization system based on GIS to analyze and solve environmental problems.As the 3d GIS can visualize the topographies,rivers,lakes and other factors which are important for the analysis of environmental problem more vividly,the environment visualization system based on 3d GIS is better for the visualization of environment.In this paper,we implement the environment information visualization based on the open-source platform which consists of location based visualization of original data and multi-dimensional visualization based on interpolated data.The former include visualization of weather information and visualization of multimedia information,the latter is comprised of 3part,which are 3d visualization of whole or partial data,3d visualization of section and 4d visualization based on KML files.The custom colors and zoom ratio is available to adjust to ensure the best visualization effect.The software is based on DB2,Eclipse and World Wind Java SDK.The environmental data interpolation service is programmed by C#,the DB2 in the data server stores all of the environmental information data.None of the visualization is not based on World Wind Java SDK,the location based visualization of original data is presented on the specific position in the form of a balloon,the multi-dimensional visualization based on the interpolated data uses the JOGL to render a 3d prism display to visualize an indicator.The environmental information visualization software is tested based on open source platform.The results show that the software can visualize the environmental information in a rapid,accurate and vivid way and provide an intuitive basis for the analysis of environmental data.
