Many effects of food are related to its antioxidant properties.It can fight aging,strengthen immunity,fight tumors and prevent diseases through geting rid of free radicals.Therefore,The study of food antioxidant on improving human body is of a great meaningful.The primary experiment has revealed that free radical may be stored,transported and ercreted along meridian system.In clinical,it can scavenge free radical by physical stimulation of acupoin,such as electro-acupuncture,magnetic stickers,moxibustion,transdermal drug delivery.It confirmed the correlation between meridian acupoints and free radicals.Meanwhile,someone has found that antioxidant intervetion at acupoints can cause changes in electrical potential difference(EPD).There were also some scholars using electrophysiological measurements to evaluate the effects of drugs on the treatment of diseases and cell activities Therefore,in this experiment,we want to investigate the relationship between food antioxidant and the EPD when food enter the human digestive tract.It could lay the foundation for further study whether the effects of food antioxidant on human physiology by measuring meridians electrical potential signals.This experiment consisted of two part.One part was recruiting healthy volunteers to measure the EPD of twelve meridians for 24 hours.The main purpose of this experiment was observing the change of twelve mridians EPD in 24 hours and the differences on gender.It also can provide the conditions for the later experiments.Another part was determinating the anti-oxidative capacity of vinegar,Cordyceps militaris,Inonotus obliquus.Then recruiting healthy volunteers participanted in taking vinegar for short term and Cordyceps militaris,Inonotus obliquus for long term.Study the effects of three food antioxidant on human physiology by measuring electrical potential signals.To get a better look at the effect of antioxidant,SOD was added.Research results were as follows:1)The range of healthy human EPD was about from-30mv to 30mv;The healthy human EPD for 24 hours was regularly change over time.The EPD was positive during the day,but the EPD was negative during 00:00-08:00;The change of human body bilaterally symmetrical EPD was in unison;The change of EPD on gender was differences,including the value,fluctuations and change trend.2)It found that vinegar,Inonotus obliquus coulde significantly increasedsome meridians electricial potential by taking vinegar for short term,Inonotus obliquus for long term,and Cordyceps militaris couldeincreased or decreased meridians electrical potential.by SOD being added,these meridians would significantly change again.Therefore,food antioxidant would significantly affect body's EPD,meanwhile,effect of antioxidation activity of different food on EPD is different,indicating the antioxidation of food is related to the changes of the body's meridian voltage.It maybe monitor the function of food antioxidant on human physiology by measuring meridians electrical potential signals.
