In recent years,the new type of artificial sweetener sucralose is widely agreed to be the artificial synthesis of sucrose replacing.Due to its superior taste,the sucralose is more and more used in food,personal care products and other fields.However,sucralose is hardly metabolic degradation.It is discharged into the environment with the production and living of the human being.The environmental damage of sucralose has caused the attention of the scholars in toxicology and environmental science around the world.Sucralose shall be regarded as a new kind of organic pollutants and attract more attention.This paper mainly studies the SBR biological sludge of the artificial sweetener sucralose and its chemical degradation,which provides the scientific basis for the correct evaluation of its behavior in the environment and the reduction of its harm to the environment.In this paper,high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC)evaporative ELSD detector is used to analyze sucralose,and liquid chromatography mass spectrometry instrument was used for the determination of sucralose degradation products.This study analyzes the advanced oxidation degradation dynamics,and at the same time,uses the method of in vitro cytotoxicity(determined by MTT)for the toxicological evaluation of sucralose degradation products.The main research content is as follows:1)The degradation rule and its influencing factors of the sucralose biological activated sludge process.In the biological degradation of sucralose by using activated sludge process,sucralose is not effective in the activated sludge microbial nutrition in the domesticated activated sludge system.In the model activated sludge system,the removal effect of the sucralose is not obvious.2)The electrochemical method has a certain effect on the removal of the sucralose.In this system,the removal rate can reach 64.3%.The degradation rate of the sucralose is 61.2%in the UV light reaction system through the photochemical reaction.The mixing of hydrogen peroxide can greatly improve its photolysis rate,removal rate and the degradation reaction rate in UV system.The degradation rate can reach 79.2%by adding hydrogen peroxide with the concentration of 7 mmol/L.3)In the UV-electrochemical reaction with the addition of the hydrogen peroxide,the degradation rate of the sucralose can reach 97.9%.The degradation reaction is in line with the first order kinetics.It shows that the addition of hydrogen peroxide can promote the degradation.4)The sucralose degradation reaction is mainly the hydrolysis reaction with glycosidic bond rupture.The reaction mechanism fails to get the inorganic compounds of smaller molecular,but the sucralose molecules are gradually degraded into small molecular organic compounds in the reaction.5)From the cytotoxicity results of the sucralose and its degradation products by using the electrochemical-UV synergistic(determined by MTT method),it can be seen that the cytotoxicity of sucralose is not strong,which is basically consistent with the result of the negative control.Therefore,we can assume that the sucralose itself has certain security,but the cytotoxicity of the degradation product is far higher than that of the sucralose.
