Elongated metal nanoparticle selectively absorbs linearly polarized light with different vibration direction and the absorption property is a result of electron resonance absorption on the surface of metal particle,Glass containing elongated nanoparticle array inside will show excellent optical property due to the selective absorption.It can be widely used in most application including optical communication,optical detection and optical display,et al.The main research of this dissertation is outlined as follows:The model of elongated metal nanoparticle array inside the glass is designed to study the polarization properties based on finite-difference time-domain(FDTD)method,the relationships between structural parameters and optical properties are analyzed in detail.With optimized the structural parameters of size,aspect ratio and filling factor,et al,the output exhibits high transmittance and high optical extinction ratio properties under different wide wavelength range.The results show that the transmittance is greater than 87% with extinction ratio great than 40 d B over the wavelength range from 650 to 1100 nm and the transmittance is greater than 96.7% with extinction ratio great than 57 d B over the wavelength range from 1500 to 1600 nm.Moreover,Ag nanoparticle array inside glass is fabricated by UV irradiation and heat treatment,the nanoparticle is spherical with diameter of 300 nm,laser-damaged threshold of 6.9 J/cm2 and transmittance of more than 90% in NIR.Corresponding technological process is outline as follows: 1.UV irradiation at room temperature for 1 min;2.heat treatment for the first time with 460 °C/30 min+520 °C/30 min;3.UV irradiation at 540 °C for 15 min;4.heat treatment for the second time with 540 °C/2 hours.What's more,the glass containing Ag nanoparticle array shows anisotropic absorption after hot rolling over the wavelength range from 500 to 1600 nm.
