A thin polymer film with regular array of micropores(honeycomb film)has extensive applications in the fields of informatics and biomedicine.Breath Figure Method,which is easy,highly efficient and economical,has been considered as a regular process to obtain honeycomb films.In this study,we fabricated honeycomb films via Breath Figure Method in a controllable manner by adjusting experimental conditions to control the superficial pore-size and internal pore-shape of the obtained honeycomb films.Besides,we utilized honeycomb films as scaffold to induce the assembly of photonic crystals(PhCs).The detailed contents of the work are as follows:(1)Fabrication of honeycomb films based on Breath Figure Method:Water and glass slide were used as subtrastes to obtain polystyrene honeycomb films via Breath Figure Method,respectively.We studied the effects of temperature,the concentration and volume of polystyrene solution on the superficial pore-size when using water-substrate.Moreover,we explored how duration of humid environment influenced the internal pore-shape with glass substrate.(2)Fabrication of polystyrene-PhCs composite films:Polystyrene-PhCs composite film was obtained by filling monodisperse silica nanoparticles in the pores of as-prepared polystyrene honeycomb film scaffold.The structural color of the composite film was angle-independent,which could be controlled by the size of silica nanopartilces.Through coating a PhC film on it,a two-layer film was fabricated and showed composite angle-responses in the reflection spectra.(3)Fabrication of PhC dot arrays based on honeycomb film scaffold:Array of PhC beads was formed by calcining polystyrene-PhCs composite film to remove the polystyrene scaffold.A super-hydrophobic substrate could be obtained after the hydrophobic treatment of the array.Moveover,a large area of regular spindle-shaped pores was obtained by stretching the as-prepared polystyrene honeycomb film.The length-diameter ratio could be adjusted via changing the stretching ratio.Afterwards,through filling silica nanoparticles into the stretched films,we obtained arrays of photonic crystal spindles,which showed optical anisotropy and hydrophobic anisotropy.
