To solve the problem that current hydrophilic finishing agents for nylon are poor in hydrophilicity and washing resistance,the polyamide-polyether block copolymer was designed and synthesized in this paper.Polyether segment was used to increase the hydrophilicity of copolymer,and polyamide segment was used to improve the washing resistance of copolymer.To solve the problem that current synthetic methods can't control the properties of polyamide-polyether copolymer very well,two-step condensation method was used to synthesize polyamide-polyether block copolymer to improve the structural controllability and the property stability of the copolymer.In this paper,the polyamide-polyether block copolymer EDP and EGP were synthesized by two-step condensation with nylon 66 salt,caprolactam,adipic acid,polyetheramine and polyethylene glycol as raw materials.And they were applied in nylon fabric's hydrophilic finishing.The hydrophilicity and washing resistance of the finished fabrics were assessed.The research was divided into three parts,and the details and results were as follows:The first part: The preparation and characterization of polyamide-polyether block copolymer EDP and its physical and chemical properties.Polyamide-polyether block copolymer EDP was synthesized by two-step condensation with nylon66 salt,adipic acid(AA)and polyetheramine(ED)as raw materials,phosphorous acid as a catalyst.Then it was applied in the hydrophilic finishing of nylon fabric.The effects of the molar ratio of ED600 to nylon66 salt(n(ED600): n(66 salts)),the molecular weight of polyetheramine and condensation temperature and time on the finishing effect were studied,and the synthesis conditions of copolymer EDP were optimized,the optimal synthesis condition of copolymer EDP were that: ED600 was chosen as polyether,n(ED600): n(66 salts)was 8:10,the condensation temperature was 230?,the condensation time was 2h,and the amount of catalyst was 1wt%.The results of FT-IR and 1H-NMR showed that the copolymer EDP was a polyamide-polyether blockcopolymer.The thermo gravimetric analysis showed that the copolymer EDP had a good thermal stability.Gel permeation chromatography showed that the average molecular weight of the copolymer EDP was 12783.The appearance of the copolymer EDP was a light brown solid at room temperature,its cloud point was 78? and its surface tension ?cmc was 37.67 m N/m.The second part: The preparation and characterization of polyamide-polyether block copolymer EGP and its physical and chemical properties.Polyamide-polyether block copolymer EGP was synthesized by two-step condensation with caprolactam,adipic acid and polyethylene glycol(PEG)as raw materials,phosphorous acid and stannous chloride as catalysts.Then it was applied in the hydrophilic finishing of nylon fabric.The effects of the molecular weight of polyethylene glycol,the molar ratio of caprolactam to adipic acid(n(caprolactam): n(adipic acid)),and condensation temperature and time on the finishing effect were studied,and the synthesis conditions of copolymer EGP were optimized.The optimal synthesis condition of copolymer EGP was that: PEG1450 was chosen as polyether,n(caprolactam): n(adipic acid)was 8:1,the condensation temperature was 260?,the condensation time was 3h and the amount of the catalyst was 1.5wt%.The results of FT-IR and 1H-NMR showed that the copolymer EGP was a polyamide-polyether block copolymer.The thermo gravimetric analysis showed that the copolymer EGP had a good thermal stability.Gel permeation chromatography showed that the average molecular weight of copolymer EGP was 15479.And the appearance of the copolymer EGP was a light brown solid at room temperature,its cloud point was 76? and its surface tension ?cmc35.81 m N/m.The third part: Application research on polyamide-polyether block copolymer.Two kinds of polyamide-polyether block copolymers were applied in the hydrophilic finishing of nylon fabric by a dipping method.The effects of the amount of finishing agent,baking time and baking temperature on the hydrophilic and durable properties of finished fabric were studied,and the conditions of hydrophilic finishing process were optimized.The properties of hydrophilicity,antistatic and hand feeling of the fabric finished with EDP and EGP were tested.Besides,two kinds of hydrophilicfinishing agent for nylon fabric which sold in the domestic and foreign market were compared to evaluate the finishing performance of EDP and EGP.The results showed that when the finishing agent dosage was 40g/L,the baking temperature was 170?and the baking time was 50 s,the fabric finished by EDP and EGP showed good performance of hydrophilicity and washability.The wicking height of the fabric finished by copolymer EDP was 4.1cm and was 3.4cm after washing five times,the retention rate of wicking height was 82.9%.The wicking height of the fabric finished with copolymer EDP was 5.7cm,and was 5.1cm after washing five times,the retention rate of wicking height was 89.5%.Compared with the same type of finishing agents marketed at home and abroad,the copolymer EDP and EGP could make nylon fabric become better at the performances of hydrophilicity and washability.Besides,the properties of copolymer EGP are better than that of EDP.The results of the research showed that the polyamide-polyether block copolymer EDP and EGP,which were synthesized by two-step condensation reaction,have a good controllability in the synthesis technology of polyamide-polyether block copolymer.the finished fabrics had a good hydrophilicity and washability.Besides,the properties of copolymer EGP is better than that of EDP.
