As the application of amine compounds in a wide range of this article on the synthesis of amine compounds in the media were studied.?-Fe2O3 was prepared by using industrial pickling waste liquid, and characterized by scanning electron microscopy?SEM?,X-ray diffraction?XRD?,transmission electron microscopy?TEM?,Fourier Transform infrared spectroscopy?FT-IR?respectively.The conversion of aniline to benzyl chloride was catalyzed by?-Fe2O3 under solvent-free conditions. The conversion of benzyl chloride was almost 100%,but the selectivity of N-benzyl aniline was low. After the reaction of aniline with benzyl chloride in the absence of solvent conditions, the by-product is separated in the reaction mixture and a single crystal is prepared. The X-ray single crystal diffraction test showed that the single crystal contained two kinds of crystals:C20H20NFeCl4 and C20H20NCl?The composition and structure of the single crystal compound were determined by means of FT-IR,1H-NMR,13C-NMR,XPS and elemental analysis. The benzylation reaction of aniline with?-Fe2O3 as catalyst in the medium of alkaline solvent to synthesize N-benzyl aniline, solves the problem of low selectivity of mono-substituted products. The experimental results show that the catalytic activity of catalyst?-Fe2O3 is very high. The reaction conditions were as follows:the reaction temperature was 60°C,the reaction time was60min,the reaction temperature was 60°C,the reaction time was 60 min,the reaction temperature was 60°C,the reaction time was 60 min,The amount of?-Fe2O3 was 0.1 g,the ratio of aniline and benzyl chloride was 3:1,the conversion of benzyl chloride was99.5%under the reaction conditions, and the selectivity of N-benzylaniline was 92.3%.
