Compared with incineration,landfill and composting,the pyrolysis technology for MSW?municipal solid waste?has a significant advantage in environmental protection and pollution control.It has a very broad application prospect,and becomes the focus of the current technology development.In this paper,a small externally heated fixed-bed pyrolysis furnace was built.Pyrolysis experiments were carried out using the typi-cal components of MSW?PE,rubber,wood chips,fabric,paper box and peel?as exper-imental materials.Additionally,catalytic pyrolysis experiments were carried out using some industrial solid waste as catalyst,and the catalytic effect on pyrolysis and pyrol-ysis products is investigated.The main results are as follows:?1?The proximate and ultimate analysis was carried out on the typical components of MSW,which provided the basis for the study of pyrolysis characteristics;and the composition analysis of A,B and C of industrial solid wastes was carried out,the main substances of A,B and C are?-Fe2O3 and FeOOH,?-Si O2 and Al6Si2O13,respectively.?2?The pyrolysis experiments were carried out under final pyrolysis temperature varied from 450-650?.The results show that as increasing the final pyrolysis temper-ature,the coke yields of the six kinds of typical MSW materials decrease.While the pyrolysis gas yields increase with the increase of the final pyrolysis temperature and the pyrolysis gas yields of PE materials increase the fastest,increasing from 4.12%to73.33%.The pyrolysis liquid yield of PE appears the peak value?49.71%?,when the final pyrolysis temperature was 500?,while the change of other materials'pyrolysis liquid yields are not obvious.The improvement of the final pyrolysis temperature is helpful to increase the pyrolysis gas cumulative gas production,the maximum instan-taneous gas production rate and the speed of the reaction.?3?In the catalytic pyrolysis experiments,the coke yields of six kinds of materials are almost reduced due to the presence of the catalyst,but the coke yield of PE increases with the catalyst A and B.Catalysts A,B and C show different influence on the tar and gas production of different materials.The effects of catalysts on the properties of py-rolysis oil were also studied.Three catalysts reduce the viscosity of pyrolysis oil,espe-cially for fabric pyrolysis oil.Catalysts A,B,C reduce the viscosity of fabric pyrolysis oil from 3.15mPa·s to 1.82 mPa·s,1.85 mPa·s,1.74 mPa·s,respectively.The pres-ence of C increases the viscosity of the PE pyrolysis oil.?4?Based on Minitab software,pyrolysis experiment about final pyrolysis temper-ature,with or without catalyst was designed;and the mathematical model of pyrolysis for MSW and the above factors were built.The response surface method was used to optimize and analyze the regression design.In conclusion,final pyrolysis temperature,with or without catalyst and their interactions are all significant factors.
