Continuous basalt fiber is a new kind of fiber with high performance and environmental protection,which made from basalt ore after melting and stretching through high temperature.Basalt fiber products are widely used in geotechnique,petrochemical engineering,aviation,construction,automobile and other fields.The research on the properties of basalt fiber itself can make it be understood in depth,and will provide data reference for research and development of new basalt products.This paper compares the elongation performance of four kinds of basalt fiber which originate in Sichuan,Guangdong,Jiangsu and Shandong.The result proved that: the fracture strength of basalt fiber in Guangdong province is the largest and the smallest is Jiangsu,with a difference of 24.72 %.The mechanical properties of basalt fiber were tested after treating it with same temperature but different heating time and same heating time but different temperatures.The paper also studied on strength retention of materials after heat treatment.Treated at200℃ high temperature in advance,the fracture strength of basalt fiber will increase,especially treated at 100℃ again,its fracture strength increase by 14.63% than which not treated with 200℃ high temperature.Besides,the flame retardant property of the basalt fiber products from the four ares have been studied.This paper conducts the braiding performance and the relationship between braiding parameters and product performance of basalt continuous filament.Through the experiment,12 kinds of pure basalt braiding ropes and 4 kinds of basalt/nylon ropes has been obtained.The influence of braiding speed and braiding pitch on the breaking strength value of braided rope was studied by the experiment.A kind of basalt braided rope with uniform surface and fine thickness is selected for the manufacture of basalt fabric.And the basalt fiber products can be used as the base material of products in the fields of fire protection,thermal insulation and heat preservation. |
