Due to water resource shortage and water pollution is serious,the recycling of wastwater has been human's attention.However,it has been found that there are organic micropollutants in urban sewage,such as pharmaceutical and personal care products(PPCPs).Activated sludge treatment which used in traditional sewage treatment plants can not effectively remove such pollutants,it threaten human health.Ozone can effectively remove PPCPs in second effluent,but the dissolved organic matter in wastewater affects the remove rate of PPCPs.In this research,the oxidation characteristics of effluent organic matter(EfOM)from AAO reactor by ozone were studied.Compared ozone remove 14 PPCPs in ultrapure water with in secondary effluent,presumed EfOM how affects ozone remove PPCPs.And studied the effect of remove PPCPs by AAO reactor combined ozone depth treatment.The results show that ozone can remove EfOM in secondary effluent,and humus?benzene-containing protein and some macromolecule organic matter were the principal removed,but can not be fully mineralized,the macromolecule organic matter was oxidized into small molecule organic matter,improve the biodegradability of sewage.The removal rate of PPCPs in ultrapure water increased with the increase of ozone concentration.Including oxytetracycline,sulfamethazine and carbamazepine etc.12 PPCPs was removed 99% whith 10mg/L ozone dose,but the removal rate of atrazine and ibuprofen did not change with the ozone concentration changed,they were removed only about 58%.EfOM in secondary effluent can reduces the removal rate of PPCPs by ozone,especially at low ozone concentrations.As the ozone concentration increases,the affect of EfOM on ozone oxidation is gradually reduced.Including oxytetracycline,sulfamethoxazole,enrofloxacin,carbamazepine ect.8 PPCPS were removed more than 90% with 10mg/L ozone dose,norfloxacin?bezafibrate? gemfibrozil were removed 80%,the removal rate of caffeine was the most affected by EfOM,it's just 8.6%,and the removal rate of ibuprofen and atrazine was almost the same as that in ultrapure water.AAO reactor is mainly through the adsorption and degradation by activated sludge to remove PPCPs in sewage,the result is poor,only oxytetracycline,chlortetracycline,naproxen,caffeine 4 PPCPs were removed more than 80%,including sulfamethoxazole,sulfamethoxazole,norfloxacin ect.8 PPCPs were removed less than 50%.There are 12 PPCPs,in addition to ibuprofen and atrazine,were removed more than 90% by AAO reactor combined with ozone depth treatment,and ibuprofen was removed more than 80%,atrazine is more stubborn,it just can be removed rate 11.3%.AAO reactor and ozone can remove the genetictoxicity of PPCPs containing sewage to ensure the safety of reuse water.
