With the development of economy and society, the global carbon emissions increase continuously. As a result, the greenhouse effect has been intensified continuously and the ecological environment has been severely damaged.Land use is one of the causes of climate warming. Therefore, this paper takes the Chinese old industrial base-northeast China,as an example, analyze the characteristics of carbon emissions from land use and study the influencing factors so as to provide some feasible suggestions for low-carbon land use.Interpreted the remote sensing images in 1980 s,2000 and 2015,according to the land-use carbon emissions accounting method in "2006 IPCC List",checked the land use of carbon emissions in Northeast China, analyzed the characteristics of carbon emissions from land use.The results showed that in the past 40 years,Carbon emissions from land-use change in 2000-2015 were 2295.07 Tg C,an increase of 163% from 872.54 Tg C in 1980-2000.The carbon emission in land use for industry and urban development with the land use type unchanged decreased by 382.11 Tg C due to the enhancement of the intensive level of land use.The carbon emissions from the land which converted into industry and urban development increased rapidly, about 1804.64 Tg C.From the perspective of source and sink, the main source of carbon resources was the conversion of urban land and forest land into arable land and the conversion of arable land to rural residential land. From the regional perspective, the carbon emissions of land use in northeast China mainly concentrated in Sanjiang Plain,Songnen Plain and Liaohe Plain. In the two study periods, the total carbon emissions from land use in Liaoning Province accounted for a large amount of carbon emissions in Northeast China, carbon emissions were consistently higher than those in Jilin Province and Heilongjiang Province. The influencing factors of carbon emissions from land use in Northeast China were analyzed with the improved KAYA identity and LMDI decomposition model. The results showed that: Among five factors of land use structure, economic energy consumption, population energy consumption, population scale and land use efficiency, land use structure, economic energy consumption, population energy consumption and population scale had a promotion effect to carbon emissions from land use, land use efficiency had an inhibition effect.Among them, the contribution rate of economic energy consumption was the highest,4.20,followed by land use structure, the contribution rate was 2.63,the contribution of population energy consumption and population size was lowest,respectively,1.92,1.09.Finally,we concluded the analysis based on the former part: Northeast China should optimize the industrial structure and change the way of energy consumption;at the same time, should adjust the land use structure and strictly control the circulation of land.In addition,we should also focus on improving the efficiency of land use. Finally, gave full play to the role of the government’s macro-control.Through the development of planning and laws and regulations system,we should actively promote low-carbon life, increase public participation, and improve the low-carbon land use security system. Finally,to achieve low-carbon development in Northeast China through this series of measures.
