Research On The Application Of Traditional Handicraft In Modern Product Design

The metal forging technology of Bai nationality is developed on the basis of traditional metal technology.It has a long history and,is a kind of characteristic traditional handicraft culture and of great research value.However,with the impact of modern technology and the change of industrial structure,some traditional handicraft faces the industrial crisis.Based on the origin and development of Bai nationality metal forging technology in Heqing County of Yunnan Province,this paper analyzes the metal forging products in this area,and systematically studies the manufacturing techniques of these forged objects.The author tries to find new design from the traditional skills,and explores the emotional and cultural connotations of contemporary design products in terms of modeling and creativity,and launches design practice.Through the study of the traditional technology of the forging handicraft of the Bai metal,it provides a useful reference for us to protect the traditional handicraft and the road to modern development.
