TB6 is a metastable beta titanium alloy,which has the characteristics of high specific strength and good corrosion resistance.As a part of aircraft structure,TB6 titanium alloy can greatly reduce the quality of aircraft compared with the same strength steel and other titanium alloys.Therefore,it is an ideal manufacturing material for aircraft parts,so it has wide application prospects and research space.But because of its poor thermal conductivity and high chemical activity,it is a hard-to-cut material,which seriously restricts its application space.High speed cutting technology has many advantages.When applied to cutting titanium alloy,it can significantly reduce cutting force and cutting temperature,and has obvious advantages over other cutting methods.In this paper,the high speed cutting test of TB6 titanium alloy is carried out to find the influence of different cutting parameters on the cutting force,the surface roughness of the workpiece and the tool durability in the process of cutting.The main research contents are as follows(1)Experimental research on cutting force in milling of TB6 titanium alloyIn the cutting experiment of TB6 titanium alloy,the cutting force data was measured,and the changing law of cutting force was found.The regression analysis is carried out and the regression equation of the cutting force is established,and analyzing the influence of different cutting parameters on cutting force.(2)Experimental research on the surface roughness in milling TB6 titanium alloyIn the cutting experiment of TB6 titanium alloy,the surface roughness tester was used to measure the roughness of each workpieces.I analyze the experimental data by regression analysis methods,and establishe the regression equation of surface roughness and analyzing the influence of different cutting parameters on surface roughness(3)Experimental study on the tool life of TB6 titanium alloy millingIn the cutting experiment of TB6 titanium alloy,useing a microscope to observe the wear of the milling tool.And analyzing the tool wear situation and their formation mechanism when milling TB6 titanium alloy.Establishing the flank surface wear amount VB=0.25mm as the standard,recording the time the tool reached the wear standard.Establishing the regression equation of tool life by experimental data and analyzing the influence of different cutting parameters on tool life.
