The experimental system and the numerical model of the booster cook-off are established.The cook-off process of JO-9C booster is researched with both experiment and numerical simulation on the background of the thermal safety of the booster.The main research contents include as follows:(1)An experimental device is designed for the cook-off,and JO-9C booster Is shaped into two booster columns of ?16*32mm,and the heating rate can be controlled stably on 1K/S(fast cook-off)and 0.1K/S(slow cook-off).The experimental system includes a small cook-off bomb,electric heating sleeve,temperature control system and explosion protection system.And this device is tested and is suited for this aim and request for this research.(2)In this paper,the reaction temperature of the booster is tested and the reaction grade is divided by using the test system of the cook-off.Taking JO-9C explosive as the research object,we consider the effect of pressure relief aperture on the shell of the cook-off bomb,and the rapid and slow roasting process is studied.(3)The results show that the intensity of cook-off increases at first and then decreases with the increase of pressure relief aperture under the condition of fast cook-off,however,the change of intensity of cook-off had little effect on the condition of slow cook-off with the diameter of pressure relief.(4)In this paper,a two-dimensional unsteady-state theoretical model is established for the cook-off process of JO-9C booster.The numerical simulation of the cook-off process of the explosive under the diameter of pressure relief is carried out,and the calculated results are compared with the experimental results.The results show that the calculated results are in good agreement with the experimental data,which proves the correctness and rationality of the model.The results show that in the process of natural convection of air in the box,and there is a good relationship between the size of pressure relief aperture and the change of air flow velocity.
