At present, most of the relevant theories and experiences of composite plates are used in the study of composite tube explosion welding, but there are substantial differences in the welding parameters of tubes and plates with different shapes. Therefore, systematic and scientific methods are of great significance for the study of composite pipe explosion welding. In this paper, the stainless steel tube as the base pipe, copper and aluminum as the pipette were tested separately, and the effects of gaps and drug thickness on the welding interface waveform and welding effect in the welding of the composite pipe were studied. The microstructure of the experimental results was observed.Combining observations with numerical simulations for theoretical analysis, the following main conclusions are obtained:From the explosion test of aluminum-stainless steel composite pipe,it can be seen that as the drug thickness increases, the wavelength and amplitude of the interface wave increase, the welding quality first increases and then decreases in a certain range, and the selection of composite pipe gap is slightly larger than that of composite plate;the upper and lower limits of the drug thickness selection are obtained by theoretically analyzing the force of the double pipe;the theoretical formula of the collision velocity of the complex tube is deduced from the energy equation;through LS-DYNA simulation of composite pipe welding process, the empirical formula for charge thickness and charge ratio is obtained;simulate the welding interface waveform of composite pipe by AUTODYN,and it is similar to the scan waveform of the experimental sample.
