With the increase of drug consumption and the development of pharmaceutical industry,the environmental pollution caused by chemical synthetic pharmaceutical wastewater is becoming more and more serious.Pharmaceutical wastewater contains a lot of difficult-to-degrade pharmaceutical ingredients,which are complex in composition and stable in chemical properties,and show some persistent pollution characteristics,the traditional sewage treatment plant's microbial process cannot handle it effectively.To increase the removal efficiency of pharmaceutical ingredients in pharmaceutical wastewater,This article aims to improve the production of high pressure liquid discharge plasmas,Treatment of Ibuprofen(IBP)in simulated pharmaceutical wastewater using active substances in discharge plasma,provide a new idea for the treatment of pharmaceutical wastewater containing chemical synthesis.Water droplet induced discharge plasma device was developed,the waste water to be treated is dispersed into water droplets to be introduced into the discharge electrode gap,in order to solve the conventional discharge plasma device in the large-scale uniform discharge plasma is difficult to obtain and the lack of high-voltage electrode durability and other issues.Discharge image and electrical characteristics indicate,the water drop in the electrode gap has an inductive effect on discharge.And the greater the flow velocity,the more obvious the induction effect.As we can see from the discharge image,the discharge channel starts from the water drop to the ground electrode,Instead of directly occurring between the electrode and the electrode.Discharge electrical characteristics indicate,when the water droplets between the electrodes can significantly reduce the starting voltage of the discharge,the discharge current and discharge power are obviously higher than those without water drops under the same voltage conditions.The induced effect of water droplets on discharge is attributed to distortion of electric field intensity between electrodes caused by water droplets,makes the local fieldstrength higher than the absence of water droplets.Induced discharge of water droplets can reduce the requirements for the uniformity of the electrode,because uniform discharge can be achieved by evenly distributing water.Water droplets also provide protection for the electrodes,because the discharge channel starts from the droplet to the ground electrode,instead of directly occurring in the high voltage pole,can effectively avoid high voltage electrode oxidation corrosion and high temperature ablation.Besides,since the active material generated by the discharge channel and discharge is mainly concentrated on the surface of the water droplets and near the water droplets,the transport distance of active substances is shortened,improves the reaction rate and energy efficiency of plasma water treatment.Application of droplet-induced discharge plasma device in the treatment of ibuprofen in pharmaceutical wastewater,the influence of operating conditions(peak voltage,pulse repetition frequency,flow rate,electrode spacing)and water quality conditions(Conductivity,initial concentration,hydrogen peroxide dosage)on the removal rate of ibuprofen was discussed.The results showed that the removal rate of ibuprofen increased with the increase of the peak voltage,the repetition frequency of the pulse,the decrease of the electrode spacing and the decrease of the initial concentration;At an initial concentration of 10 mg/L,a peak voltage of 30 kV,a pulse repetition rate of 100 pulses per second(pps),a flow rate of 1.4 mL/min,an electrode spacing of 2 cm,and an electrical conductivity of 0.26 mS/cm,after 80 min of discharge treatment,the degradation rate of ibuprofen reached 100%.TOC analysis showed that the removal rate of TOC was significantly lower than that of ibuprofen,after 80 min of discharge treatment,the removal rate of ibuprofen was 100%,and the TOC removal rate was 46%.Therefore,it takes longer reaction time to completely remove the organic matter in the wastewater.
