As an important protective layer in the safety management,it is necessary to generalize the use of Safety Instrument System,and enterprise managers and scholars has also mainly focused on the Safety Integrity Level(SIL)assessment of Safety Instrument System in the safety management field.In this paper,the kerosene hydrogenation unit is chosen as the research object.Markov model will be the most optimized method to reflect the system dynamics through comparing and analyzing three methods of Reliability Block Diagram,Fault Tree Analysis and Markov model.On the research of some data,eight factors which may affect the unfailing performance of Safety Instrument System will be summarized and analyzed.This paper proposes two advanced Markov model respectively from consideration of the notification failure and safety life cycle.In this way this advanced Markov model will be more suitable for status changes of the system and assessment results will be more precise as well.The case study of a hydrogenation unit is provided to complete the research on the Safety Integrity Level assessment of SIS based on technologies of LOPA and HAZOP methods,and results will be verified by using the advanced Markov model.Finally,some improvement suggestions will be proposed refer to the evaluation results and it can provide a reference for the SIL assessment of SIS in other similar devices.
