Coal-based methanol to olefins technology helps to alleviate the status of energy shortage of our country,to reduce the dependence on imported energy, and to enrich the use of abundant coal resources.Shenhua group adopts advanced coal gasification technology, methanol synthesis technology and the olefins conversion technology,to help the construction of large coal base new materials project,in order to improve the comprehensive utilization benefits of Zhun Dong coal resources, and has a practical significance to achieve the unity of the economic, social and environmental benefits. This article main research content is as follows:The technical, economic and environmental indicators of MTO and MTP two sets of technology are compared and analyzed, the stability, the economic prospects and the ability to resist risk of MTO technology is better, and more suitable for industrial production.MTO technology was adopted in the core technology about coal to olefins project in Baotou,In this paper, the main technological process of coal to olefins and MTO,olefin separation process are described. It is a byproduct produced by olefin separation device in the process of MTO of the C4 mixed gas.In this paper, the research on the industrial reuse of the C4 mixed gas was carried out.By comparison,it is concluded that the C4 mixed gas of Coal-based Methanol to Olefins Process is suitable for the production of propylene by using the technology of OCT.The main process of olefin conversion device is described.OCT technology of Lummus Corp is mainly used as the basis to design industrial equipments. In the design of the ethylene tower and propylene tower, the DSTWU model of the Aspen software was used to simulate and optimized the process of the two devices.
