This paper analysis the characteristics of gas transmission system from the perspective of gas network and the gas users,based on which rate the users into several levels.This paper analysis the intension of pipeline network reliability according to characteristic of system,and further proposed the principle,range and content of pipeline network reliability evaluation,and principle of evaluation index selection.Based on the definition of user satisfaction,this paper put forward the concept of reliability function from the view of pipeline operation and gas supply.Evaluating at spatial and time dimension,method of assembled evaluation index selection is presented.Based on reliability theory,probability theory and pipeline hydraulic and thermodynamic calculation,initially established pipeline network evaluation method,including reliability date collection,Monte Carlo sampling of system status,pipeline simulation and reliability index calculation four steps.By implementing the technic of SPS’ secondary development,a software was developed based on VB.NET using the above method,which make it possible for batch simulation of local failure conditions.the data of monitoring points can also be obtained and stored in real time.The software was applied on the network comprising West-East gas pipeline,the second and third Shanxi-Beijing gas pipeline and Jining gas pipeline,reliability index was calculated.The results show that reliability of the case pipeline networks is in high level,reliability is more than 99.69%.
