Development Of Asphalt Emulsion Used In Cement Asphalt Mortar And Its Main Performance Evaluation

Cement asphalt mortar is the key component of ballastless track slab structure in High-Speed Railway.Emulsified asphalt is the essential ingredient of cement asphalt mortar,which is mainly composed of emulsifier,stabilizer,water and matrix asphalt,Stability and cement mixing performance is two important factors affecting the performance of emulsified asphalt.In this paper,90# asphalt from liaohe Petrochemical Company is used as matrix asphalt.The influence of the stabilizer,emulsifier mixed proportion,emulsifier mass,temperature and pH on the stability of emulsification is studied.And the influence of the stabilizer,the emulsifier mixed proportion and emulsifier mass on cement mixing performance is also studied.The results show that the stabilizer,emulsifier mixed proportion,emulsifier mass,pH and temperature all can affect the stability of emulsification.the storage stability have some relevance with Zeta potential and particle size,the larger Zeta potential and the Smaller particle size,the more stable emulsion.For the cement mixing performance: emulsifier mixed proportion and emulsifier amount can affect the cement mixing performance,the stabilizer amount has little impact on the emulsification.Also,the preparation conditions were identified for CRTS I type and CRTS II type CA mortar emulsified asphalt.the two types of emulsified asphalt were mixed with cement,then the porpeties were tested after mixing,the results show that emulsified asphalt performance meet the demands of the ministry of railways.
