By analyzing the different policies and regulations and development of biodiesel in the world, particularly in the European Union, the United States and Brazil, this paper puts forward the prospect and policy suggestions for China's development of biodiesel industry.Through field research,it is also combined with China's actual conditions and analyzed the availability and economy of different feedstock of biodiesel. The main research conclusions are as follows:1.Currently,the development of biodiesel in the EU,the United States and Brazil is more mature,it forms an orderly chain including raw material supply, production and marketing, technology research and development, which is inseparable from the support of local government, tax incentives and subsidies. But the development of China's biodiesel industry is not perfect, and also it lacks the corresponding integrated policy of industry.2.Raw material still is a direct factor restricting the development of biodiesel industry in China.Waste oil is difficult to collect and its price is not stable.Woody oil crops are still difficult to scale in the short term, only as a medium-term supply of raw materials;large-scale cultivation of microalgae is still in the experimental stage, only as a long-term outlook.3.Under the current situation of crude oil,the biodiesel produced by the three kinds of raw materials is not economical. When the price of crude oil reached 80 dollars per barrel, the gross profit of waste oil as raw material to prepare biodiesel grew up to 1570 Yuan per ton,and Tung oil(35%)as raw material to prepare biodiesel grew up to 290 Yuan per ton.4.The cost of biodiesel can be reduced by the development of biodiesel into high value-added products(such as alpha olefins products),promoting the fine development of by-product glycerol.
